Avinto was created because we wanted to solve one of Norwegian businesses' biggest problems:

Through several years of experience as IT managers in Norwegian businesses, we experienced a gap between the ambitions for digitalisation and the available expertise in the market.
Many businesses find it demanding and expensive to build internal technology teams that can provide what the company needs in the face of strong competition
There are enormous opportunities in Nepal's IT sector.
Having lived in Nepal and built up a large network in Kathmandu's IT environment, CEO of Avinto Kristian saw an enormous potential to meet the need back in Norway.
But first, we had to learn how to blend people from two cultures in a way that ensured high quality and good communication.
We all had experience with using foreign developers in a Norwegian setting and had felt frustration due to poor communication.
The best of both worlds
With Avinto, we have built a Norwegian organisational culture with western principles of management, structure and mentality. At the same time, through our own experience, we have learned how this must be adapted to a Nepali context in order to provide maximum productivity and good communication.
The result is a model we are very proud of, where our Norwegian IT project managers work closely with both the customer and the Nepali developers in a way that results in highly productive and flexible teams.
