Role Description
We are looking for a Visual Designer (Game Design & Pixel Art) to join our creative team in Kathmandu. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the visual identity and creative direction of our gaming projects. You will create visually compelling pixel-based assets, concept art, and in-game designs that bring ideas to life.
As a Visual Designer, you’ll work closely with the development, and UI/UX teams to ensure a cohesive and immersive player experience. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about art, gaming, and creative storytelling, and who wants to make a meaningful impact on the visual direction of our products.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop pixel art assets, game environments, characters, icons, and UI elements.
Lead the creative direction and ensure visual consistency across all game projects.
Collaborate with the UI/UX team to design and integrate game assets that enhance usability and aesthetics.
Work closely with developers and designers to translate concepts into polished, interactive visual experiences.
Create concept art, mood boards, and mockups to communicate design ideas and styles.
Optimize visual assets for various screen sizes and performance requirements.
Stay up to date with game art trends, design techniques, and visual storytelling methods.
Review and provide constructive feedback on visual assets to maintain high-quality standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in graphic design, UI/UX preferably in gaming or creative industries.
Strong portfolio showcasing pixel art, illustration, and game asset design.
Proficiency in tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Aseprite, or Figma.
Solid understanding of color theory, composition, and visual hierarchy.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-driven environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.
Eagerness to learn and improve in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
Attention to detail and a passion for creating engaging user experiences.
